A Bit About Me
Hi, I’m Galen Neal — a photographer and cinematographer based in the heart of central Maine. My journey behind the lens began eight years ago, sparked by a deep desire to share the way I see the world: raw, honest, and beautiful in its everyday details.
I come from a close-knit family of six who’ve always supported my creative path. Today, I’m majoring in New Media Communications at Southern Maine Community College, and I offer freelance photo and video services for local communities and businesses across central Maine.
My work is rooted in a cinematic approach — I aim to capture moments not just as they are, but as they feel. Whether it’s a small-town event or a brand story unfolding, I strive to preserve the visual in a natural, true-to-life way that resonates.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me outdoors, off the beaten trail, recharging in the stillness of nature. That love for the wild and unexpected shapes much of my creative vision.
To me, photography and videography aren’t just skills — they’re how I connect, reflect, and express. I couldn’t imagine life without them.
